This article demonstrates how to add User Commission to a profile. User commissions allow individuals to receive varying commission rates based on the amount they have collected in a month. The amount collected is intricately linked to the commission base applied to the user.
Setup
- Navigate to Setup- Users-Profiles
- Open a user profile
- Locate Commission Tiers section
- Select Add
- In the Commission Tier window, select commission rate from the dropdown
- Select Save
- Once the commission tier is added to the profile, select Save at the bottom of the profile page.
Viewing Existing User Commissions
To view existing user commissions:
- Open the User Profile
- Locate the Commission Tiers Section
Columns in the commission tiers:
- Minimum
- Commission Rate (displays the commission rate selected)
- Create Date (displays when a tier minimum and rate were selected for this user)
- Last Update (displays when a tier minimum and rate were last changed for this user)
Understanding User Commissions:
A user may receive different commission rates depending on the total amount they have collected in a given month. This amount directly influences the commission base applied to the user. Multiple Commission Tiers can be applied, each defining a range of collected amounts and the associated commission rate.
For instance:
- A first tier might offer a 5% commission rate for $250 - $1499 collected.
- A second tier might provide a 10% commission rate for $1500 - $4999 collected.
- A third tier might yield a 15% commission rate for anything equal to or greater than $5000 collected.
Removing User Commissions
To remove a user commission:
- Open the user profile.
- Locate the Commission Tiers Section.
- Click on the red X next to the desired commission rate.
- A Confirm Removal dialogue box will display, confirming the removal of the selected commission rate. Click yes.
- Select "Save" at the bottom of the profile page.
