Bar/QR Code Scanning to Open an Existing ACE Account

In ACE accounts can be opened based on bar code or QR code scanning equipment when the ACE application is open.

The code to be read by the equipment will include the character "A" followed by a period and the consumer's account number. For account number 110239273 the code will be "A.110239273" which will appear similar to the following bar or QR code in a letter.

In order for the equipment to read the code it will need to prepend the keystrokes for the "CTRL" and "/" (forward slash) keys to the front of the code being read and append the keystroke for a carriage return (CR) to the end of the code being read. For the example below, the code reader will see the keystrokes and code in the order roughly represented here. The actual keystroke codes used by the equipment manufacturer to produce the correct results may vary.

(CTRL + / + A.110239273 + carriage return) = CTRL/A.110239273CRLF
