Creating a Validation Notice MMS Text Message Profile in ITMS

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a Validation Notice MMS text message profile in ITMS (Integrated Text Message Service). This profile allows you to send validation notices as MMS messages with images, enhancing consumer communication. The text message profile uses an email template as a variable to generate and include the image in the message.

Important Prerequisite:

Before creating the MMS text validation notice, retrieve the email vendor identifier and email template identifier for your validation notice. These identifiers are required to construct the variable that will insert the image into your text profile. For more information, see  Creating EMail Profiles.

Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up the Validation Notice Text Message Profile

Constructing the Variable for Image Inclusion

To include the image in your MMS message, you’ll need two identifiers:

• Vendor Identifier – Identifies the email vendor.

• Email Template Identifier – Identifies the specific email template for the validation notice.

1. Locate the Vendor Identifier and Email Template Identifier:

   1. Go to Setup → Email → Vendors.

   2. Open the email vendor you plan to use.

   3. In the Vendor Email Template section, note the identifiers for the vendor and the specific email template.

      1. Example: If the Vendor Identifier is DEFAULT and the Email Template Identifier is SAMPLE_VALIDATION_NOTICE, then the constructed variable will be ${email.DEFAULT.SAMPLE_VALIDATION_NOTICE}.

      2. 

2. Construct the Variable:

   1. Format the variable as ${email.vendorIdentifier.templateIdentifier} using the identifiers retrieved.

   2. Example: ${email.DEFAULT.SAMPLE_VALIDATION_NOTICE}.

Creating the Validation Notice Text Profile

1. Access the Text Message Profile Setup

1. Navigate to the "Text Msg Profiles" section.

2. Click "New" at the bottom right.

2. Configure the Basic Profile Information

1. Category: Select Validation Notice.

2. Identifier: Example: MMS Validation Notice.

3. Ignore Time Restriction: Leave unchecked (False) to ensure messages adhere to time restrictions.

3. Set Up the Message Body

In the Body field, craft your message. Here’s an example template:

Hi ${primaryDemographic.firstName},
This is InterProse trying to reach you about your account. ${client.doingBusinessAs} placed your account ${debt.clientAccountNumber} with us.
Please review the notice in the provided image: ${email.DEFAULT.SAMPLE_VALIDATION_NOTICE}

How do you want to respond?

Important Note:

By incorporating a variable like this: ${email.emailvendorname.emailtemplatename} in the message body, ITMS converts a standard SMS into an MMS, delivering the notice as an image. For example, using ${email.DEFAULT.SAMPLE_VALIDATION_NOTICE} in your template will automatically include the specified image.

4. Save and Test the Profile

1. Click Save.

2. Test the profile by sending the message to your phone to verify the correct display and format of the text and image.
