# Creating User Commissions

This article will cover how to create User Commissions.

## Setup

Navigate to **Setup → Users → Commissions, New**

### Commission Rate Section

Enter data into the following fields. Fields with an * are required to be completed.

| Fields | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Label* | The recommended approach is to name the label after a rate you have established: Ex: " User Commission <10K". |
| Identifier* | This is usually the same name as the Label or you could enter "UNDER_10K" for example. |
| Description | You can use this box to describe the User Commission |
| Commission Type* | Dropdown Options: - Client - User - Attorney |
| Custom Hook | Optional Field |

1. Label- Ex: " User Commission <10K".
2. Identifier- Ex: " User Commission <10K".
3. Description- Ex: "Under 10k user commission"
4. Commission Type-Select User
5. Press **Apply** before adding Commission Rate Logic.

### Commission Rate Logic Section

1. Select **New**
2. Enter a Label Ex: <30 Days
3. Enter an age range Ex: 0-30 Days
4. Go to the Commission Rates section and enter % Ex: 10% Principal
5. **Save**

The user commission is defined in ACE as the commission an agent receives on payments that are collected in ACE.

User commissions can be setup by client commission (agency portion) or the entire transaction.
