How does account search work in Speed Posting?
When you enter an account number, the system searches for matches based on:
- Reference Number
- Client Account Number
- Customer Account Number
If matching accounts are found, the results will also include any other accounts that share the same Judgment Case ID as those matched accounts.
For example:
- If the original search returns 3 matching accounts
- And each of those accounts has 1 additional account with the same Judgment Case ID
- The results list will display all 6 accounts
You can then select the appropriate judgment account to post the payment.
Are all fields in the account/payment section required?
No, all fields in the account/payment section are optional as they pertain to the account/payment. These fields include Check Number, Primary and Secondary Collector ID, Garnishment, Miscellaneous fields, and Notes.
What should you do after completing the required fields?
After filling in the required fields, click "Apply" to post the payment to the account. You will receive a note at the top of the screen with a link to the account for viewing payment details.
