Primary Agent

The purpose of this document is to demonstrate the variety of ways that Primary Agent is Assigned, Removed and Expires.

Primary Agent Assignment reflects a detailed note as to why, how, and by whom the primary agent was assigned, removed or expired. 

ACE has a Primary Agent Expire task associated with the Launch Date Triggers job, which is scheduled to run daily. The task's function is to expire the Primary Agent.

A Primary Agent can be set by the following methods and actions:

• Manually
• Worklist Override
• Workflow Action
  • Payment Plan Override
  • Promise
  • Status Code
• Action Code
• Action Path
• Bundling

When any of these actions take place, a note will appear on the account such as the one below:

In the screenshot above you can see that the account has been notated that the Primary Agent went from empty to sample.collector with an expiration of 2/13/2019 and that this user was set as the Primary Agent by an Action Path.

Reflected in the example above, the account has been notated with the Primary Agent changing from sample.collector to sample.posting_collector and this was done by the Manual method and then the user who made the manual change is stamped with the note.

In the account screen, there is an Agent field that you can click to manually set the Primary Agent.

This section lists a plethora of ways for the Primary Agent to be set:

Most agencies typically just have Payment and Promise set.  So that when an agent takes a promise or sets up a payment plan, they will become the Primary Agent.  This can also be set for status codes, notes, letters, etc.

Action Codes can override the expiration days for Primary Collector (FYI- Primary Collector and Primary Agent are the same thing).

Bundling means that the Bundle Propagation-Primary Agent Box was checked.
