Bundle Settlement Limited Offer
Just in time for tax season, we are introducing a new feature that will allow you to offer consumers the option to settle their account for a specific amount over a fixed number of payments until an explicitly identified expiration date.
Using this option, the consumer can use a provided link to be taken directly to the VA 2.0 settlement page with the details displayed. If the expiration date is past, the consumer will be presented with the other presiding settlement details configured in ACE.
For more details, please review this article. VA 2.0 Bundle Settlement Offer.
A new tips & tricks email related to this topic is expected in upcoming weeks.
Payment Plan Modification Update
Payment plans involving settlement may now be modified. This includes the ability to modify settlement terms moving forward.
In addition, the performance of payment plan modification has been improved. Estimated interest more accurately reflects the interest that will be accrued through the life of the payment plan due to the modified options selecting while modifying a plan.
For more details related to payment plan modification, please review this article: Modify a Payment Plan.
Payment Source Updates
Our Payment Source feature has been updated so that communication methods that are identified as the source of a consumer paying on the account can be explicitly identified.
Email and text message profiles each now have a Boolean field to Allow as Payment Source. If set to true, a letter/email/text with that profile is eligible to be identified as the source of a payment. Otherwise, it will not be considered as a possible source.
For more details use this link to learn more about Payment Source Tracking in ACE.
Flow Action Labels
When adding Flow Actions to Action Paths, there were some that updated the object to the initially selected object ID instead of the Identifier or Label.
Several, including "Logic Condition", "Move Debt to Client", "If Payment Method" and "If Payment Destination," have been updated to now show the more easily recognized Identifier or Label.
Please note
If changes are subsequently made to a Flow Action, the Identifier or Label are not automatically updated and will need to be manually updated.
SBT Text Messaging Update
When there is an attempt to send a text message in the category of “Invitation” via SBT, if the number is not mobile:
No text log will be stored
The phone number will be opted out
The phone location will be updated to Home
Please note: For ITMS, the behavior will continue as follows:
When there is an attempt to send an opt in request text message via ITMS, if the number is not mobile:
A text log will be stored
The phone number will be opted out
The phone location will be updated to Home
Commission Tax Update
In December 2024, a second commission tax rate was made available in order to apply two different rates per configuration and Client Profile selections.
Now a commissionTax2Total field has been made available for use in the Transaction Detail table of an invoice to be associated with second commission tax column.
See this article for more on the topic of Commission Tax: Understanding Commission Tax in ACE.
Fixed These:
Setting the status code from an action code using an action path was not working as expected. That has been fixed and it is now. Please Note: a status code can also be set from the “Actions” section of an action code - that option continues to work as expected.
Logo loading in VA 2.0, text and email was slow & breaking for large bundles. Performance for these scenarios has been improved.
Archived accounts were showing up when searching for unarchived and when searching for all accounts (archived & unarchived). This behavior is fixed and the archived accounts are now only showing up when searching for archived accounts.
ELS letters, when initially sent via email were continuing to try to be attempted after a bounce status was returned by AWS. Now if an ELS letter is attempted via email and bounces, sending of the email will cease being attempted and ACE will send it as a letter (as long as the letter profile is a configured to send email or letter).
VA 2.0 Bundle Selector was not considering company name matching when identifying bundles to display to the consumer. Now it is.
