ACE Release Notes - 3/14/2021
Hi (oops, I don't have your first name in our database!),
Below are the updates and fixes we will be pushing out to all of our customers. We can’t wait to deliver further improvements to you in the months ahead!
We are expecting the downtime for deploying this update to be ten to fifteen minutes.
All the best, Your friends at The InterProse Corporation |
Cool New Upgrades
|
Account ViewMail Return Pill: Whenever a mail return is posted to a primary demographic address, a mail return pill will appear at the top of the associated account view.
Bundling Notes: A new note will be created when an account is added to a bundle indicating exactly why that account was bundled: |
The new bundle note will exist on the account joining the bundle. This new feature should make it very easy to determine why an account was added to a bundle or if it was added manually.
Status Code 'Apply To' Behavior: When using the 'Apply to' function, a new 'Force Status Code Update' option has been added: |
This option forces an update to all selected accounts making them match the status code of the account you are working from. Typically the status code would only be applied to all accounts if it was actively being changed by the 'Apply to' action. |
APIJSON Parameters Via Statement Body It is now possible to use limited request parameters or post statements via JSON body. Please see help>API Documentation within ACE for more details. |
Client ProfileDirect Client File Manager Navigation: When viewing a client profile, there is now a link in the left toolbar allowing a user direct access to that clients folder in the file manager. This feature removes the step of manually navigating through the file manager structure to find that clients folder. We believe the direct link will be especially helpful for customers with a large amount of clients. |
LegalLegal Case Field Name Changes: It is now possible to change labels for miscellaneous fields associated with legal cases using the setup>accounts>labels menu. New sections have been added with renaming options for Legal Case, Court, and Process Server misc./fee fields.
'Not to be found' Functionality: ACE has expanded its legal functionality to consider instances where the defendant could not be served (not to be found), this involves a few additions at the legal case level, please see the 'Take a Closer Look' section for more details.
Inactive Defendant on Case: It is now possible to mark a defendant as inactive on a legal case. When marked inactive, the defendants information will still be associated with the legal case, but will not carry over to the judgement account when a judgement is rendered.
Client DBA(Doing Business As) Name field: The Client profile now has a field to specify an alternative name for that client. For example, this field could be used for situations where the client has a different legal name they file suit under from their listed client name.
Original Creditor on Judgement Account: Original creditor information will now carry over from the case to a judgment account. Previously users had to navigate back to the original consumer account to see this information.
Primary agent Carry Over: ACE will now carry over the primary agent from the original consumer account over to the associated judgement account when it is created.
|
LettersCanceling Letters: For record keeping purposes, in most cases scheduled letters are now cancelled instead of being deleted. In our current system, if you cancel a letter it vanishes completely from the letter viewer. The only record of the letter ever being scheduled exists in the account notes. Now, if a letter is cancelled a record will still exist in the letter viewer for that account but it will be marked as cancelled: |
All methods that currently exist for deleting scheduled letters are automatically going to switch over to the new cancel type instead; this change should allow for more accurate tracking of when a letter was cancelled and why. |
Percentage Format on Letter Templates: Local letters are now capable of expressing a number in percentage format instead of a decimal. Follow these steps to set a data field to a percentage in LibreOffice:
|
Mass Remove Mail Returns: It is now possible to remove mail returns from a large number of addresses via ETL using the clear mail return field. |
List ViewExporting Lists Now Uses Specified Filters: When exporting a list (such as a list of accounts returned by an account search) the output file will now exclude rows using the same filter criteria specified in the title bar. Previously all rows were returned in the generated file. |
Responsible PartiesCancelling RP Accounts: When attempting to cancel an account that has an associated responsible party, the cancel interface now has a form that will display any connected RP accounts. This form allows our users to determine if they also want to cancel those other related accounts, and if any should be excluded from cancellation. |
WorkflowOnAfterSmallBalanceWriteOff Trigger: A new trigger has been added that will perform any of the actions specified in the connected action path when a small balance write off is triggered on an account. |
Take a Closer Look
Not to Be Found Functionality ACE's not to be found functionality has a couple new components, with the goal of clearly differentiating not to be found type situations from other possible legal results. Those components are as follows:
Not to be found Date field: A new date field has been added to the court case page where a not to be found date can be specified: |
onCaseNotToBeFoundDate Trigger: A new trigger has been added that will operate off of the mentioned not to be found date field. You can set the trigger to perform any specified action path exactly on the specified date, or a certain number of days before or after the date. |
