    ACE Release Notes - 6/20/2021

Hi (oops, I don't have your first name in our database!),

Below are the updates and fixes we will be pushing out to all of our customers.

We can’t wait to deliver further improvements to you in the months ahead!

We are expecting the downtime for deploying this update to be ten to fifteen minutes.

    All the best,

Your friends at The InterProse Corporation

    Cool New Upgrades

    Agent Dashboards

    Agent Reporting on NSF/Payment Failures:

Agent reports such as the scorecard and payment/transaction dashboards will now distinguish and display NSF and Payment failures that have occurred against the agents transactions.

    API

Update Custom Form Fields Via API:

It is now possible to post values to custom form fields when creating an account via API.

    Expanded API Help Section:

We have greatly expanded our help section for work with API post/view requests. The guide can be found in your ACE application under Help>API Documentation.

    Credit Reporting

    Credit Reporting Rules Adjustment:

A credit reporting criteria that excluded older accounts with blank SSN/DOB from being sent was overly strict, the criteria has been adjusted. If your system has consumer accounts with a blank SSN/DOB that were otherwise eligible and placed before 9/15/2017 these accounts were previously blocked and will now be credit reported. Please see the 'Take a Closer Look' section for more details.

    Demographics

New Rules For Changing Phone Number/Email Fields:

It is no longer possible to modify a phone number or email record once it has been created on an account. If a change needs to be made to a phone number or email, a new record needs to be created and the old one deactivated/removed. Previously, it was possible to opt in an email or phone for text/ELS contact and then change the number. This new restriction ensures that an updated phone number or email has to be re-opted in before they can be contacted.

    ETL

    Last Payment Amount Field:

The last payment amount field is now available for use via ETL profile.

    Document Management

    Account Document transfer via SSH:

The account document transfer task can now use SSH security keys when importing documents.

    Inventory Report Designer

    Status label Field:

The status code label field is now available when building an inventory designer report.

    Judgement Page Layout Adjustment:

We have adjusted the field layout for the judgment view to exactly match the case view. These views were already very similar with only a few fields different between them, this change should limit confusion when navigating between the two.

    Case Search Behavior:

When searching for an account by case number, the system will return the judgment account associated with a case if it exists instead of the standard consumer account.

    Payments

    Large Bundle Payment Performance Improvement:

We have improved the speed at which payments will post to large account bundles. Users posting payments to accounts with 50 or more members should notice a significant improvement.

    RePay Improved Error Codes:

ACE will now display more detailed error messages when an error is returned from the RePay Payment provider.

    Permissions

    Letter Cancel Permission:

The permission that gives a user the ability to cancel scheduled letters has been changed from LETTER_PROFILE_DELETE to SCHEDULED_LETTERS_DELETE.

    Settlements

    Bucket Specific Settlement Controls:

In addition to our settlement percentage controls, it is now possible to control which buckets can accept settlement amounts. This is controlled at the client profile level under the settlement/payment form. If a bucket is not specified the system will be unable to write off any amount within the bucket with a settlement adjustment.

    Take a Closer Look

    Updated Credit Reporting Rule

A credit reporting policy became effective on 9/15/2017 that indicated the following:

A new minimum standard has been established to expand the CRAs’ capabilities to match credit data to the file of the appropriate consumer. Furnishers of newly opened trade and collection data must report the full name(First, Middle, Last Name and Generation Code/Suffix),address, full Social Security Number and Date of Birth(mmddyyyy). If full Social Security Number is not available, full Date of Birth (mmddyyyy) will be required. This new minimum standard will apply to accounts reported with a Date Opened after the Effective Date in order for the CRAs to accept these records for processing. Data will be monitored to ensure these requirements are met.

ACE Currently follows this guideline in an overly strict manner, if ANY account does not have an SSN or DOB it will not be credit reported. The new change factors in the effective date of this rule, meaning any account placed before 9/15/2017 that is otherwise eligible will be credit reported. The rule change may result in an increase in credit reported accounts in your next file.

    Making Things Right

    - Prevented the system from generating 'Null' on an invoice when the client.address2 field was referenced and blank.

    - Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented payment plans from transferring to the judgment account when a judgment was rendered.

    - Fixed a bug that was causing the 'too early to call' notification to appear within valid hours.

    - Removed the next work date requirement when viewing a cancelled account.

    - Fixed an issue that was preventing the system from saving changes to account view templates.

    - Fixed a bug that was preventing data roles from being sorted by label or description.

    - Fixed an issue preventing logic block from working against blank insurance fields.

    - Fixed an issue that would cause manually spreading payments to blank out agent commission values.

    - Fixed an error that would occur when a user with limited client access applied a change to bundled accounts across multiple clients.

    - Fixed an error that prevented a user from navigating to an account through account numbers listed in a dashboard.

    - Fixed the attorney fee bucket showing as 'court cost balance' in the accounts view of the case form.

    - Prevented overpayments on judgment accounts from carrying over to consumer accounts.
