Explore Available Triggers in ACE and When They Initiate for ELS triggers.
Understanding the onAfterDemographicEmailComplaint Trigger in ACE
The onAfterDemographicEmailComplaint event is triggered by data received from AWS. AWS determines what qualifies as a complaint, such as when a consumer marks an email as spam or reports other issues.
When AWS flags a complaint, ACE:
Updates the email status to "COMPLAINT."
Automatically opts out the associated email address to prevent further emails.
Workflow Configuration
The onAfterDemographicEmailComplaint trigger provides the flexibility for customers to configure further workflows, ensuring that their processes align with their specific business needs.
Important Notes
AWS defines and categorizes all complaints before sending the data to ACE.
Businesses using ACE should review their workflow configurations to confirm whether the system's default behavior (e.g., opting out emails) meets their compliance and communication goals.
