Validation Notice Dates

Validation Notice Sent Date

When a validation notice letter is sent from ACE the Validation Notice Sent Date is recorded in the account page debt information section. A validation notice send date is based on a letter or email with the category of "Validation Notice" having been sent.

Validation Notice Period

In ACE, the period starting on the date that a debt collector provides the validation information by sending a letter with the category of "Validation Notice" and ending 30 calendar days after the consumer receives or is assumed to receive the validation information.

Validation Notice End Date

A date recorded to the Validation Notice End Date field in the account page debt information section based on the validation notice period plus the validation notice buffer (letter or email).

Validation Notice Returned Date

When a letter is returned, the Validation Notice Returned Date can be populated manually or via file. The Validation Notice Returned Date will be cleared when the Validation Notice Sent Date is updated because the Validation Notice is sent again.
