What is Rainmaker Insights (RI)?
Rainmaker Insights (RI) is ACE's reporting platform for creating, viewing, and managing reports and dashboards.
Users can create custom RI Visuals using AI-assisted natural language prompts or direct SQL, organize Visuals into RI Boards, and run prebuilt RI Core Visuals included with ACE.

How Rainmaker Insights Works
Rainmaker Insights organizes reporting into three primary components:

Together, these components support a complete reporting workflow—from running standardized reports, to creating custom reports, to organizing multiple Visuals into interactive dashboards.
RI Core Visuals
RI Core Visuals are prebuilt reports available from the Reports menu.
Depending on the report, users can:
Apply report parameters.
View interactive results.
Drill into supporting data.
Export reports in multiple formats.
Core Reports use the same Rainmaker Insights reporting engine as custom Visuals.

RI Visuals
An RI Visual is a custom report that displays data in a specific format, such as a table, chart, pivot table, or KPI card. Visuals can be created using RI Chat or direct SQL, then saved, edited, and reused in one or more RI Boards.

RI Boards
An RI Board is an interactive dashboard that combines one or more RI Visuals into a single workspace.
In addition to Visuals, Boards can include supporting content such as text and images to create executive dashboards, operational scorecards, or client-facing reports.

Creating Reports
Rainmaker Insights supports two methods for creating reports.
RI Chat
RI Chat uses conversational AI to generate reports from natural language prompts.
For example:
Show payments collected by client during the last 30 days.
Create a line chart comparing disputes opened and disputes resolved by week.
Display the top 10 collectors based on total payments collected.
Continue the conversation by providing additional prompts until the report meets your reporting requirements.

SQL
Experienced users can also create reports by writing or modifying SQL directly in the Refine section of a Visual.
This approach allows you to:
Create reports from existing SQL.
Modify AI-generated SQL.
Troubleshoot report logic.
Optimize complex queries.
Both approaches can be used independently or together during report development.

AI-assisted reporting is an iterative process. You may need to provide follow-up prompts to adjust filters, grouping, calculations, formatting, or visualization types to achieve the desired results.
Export Options
Reports, Visuals, and Boards can be exported in several formats for sharing or additional analysis.
Supported export formats include:

PDF
CSV
Microsoft Excel
Validating Results
Always validate custom reports before using them for operational or business decisions.
Validation may include:
Comparing results with existing reports.
Reviewing report parameters and filters.
Examining the generated or edited SQL.
Verifying calculations and totals.
Reviewing drill-down records.

Because AI-generated reports are created from prompts, similar requests may produce different results. Always review and validate report output before sharing or using it in production.
