Account Search is a tool within ACE that allows you to quickly locate and manage accounts.

Accessing Advanced Search

There are two options to access account search:

Option 1: Go to Accounts → Search

Option 2: Click on the magnifying glass icon near the account search field

Account Search Fields

Utilize the following search fields under Account Options, Demographic Options, and Forwarding Options to refine your search criteria and find specific accounts.

Account Options Section

The Account Options section contains the fields that directly correlate to an account.

Field

Description

Agency #

The Agency's account number or ACE DebtID

Client Account #

Account number provided by the Client

Reference #

Unique key for agencies converting accounts

Bundle

Unique ACE # assigned to a bundle member

Group Identifier

Bundle number assigned from another collection system

Client

Client code or name. Use dropdown or smart search for selection

Assigned Date

Date the account was assigned

Status

Current status of the account

Case Number

Assigned case number

Bankruptcy Case Number

Assigned bankruptcy case number

Principal Balance

Exact current principal balance

Principal Assigned

Exact original principal balance

Debt Flag

Indicator for debt status

Archived

Drop down menu:

  • Not Archived

  • Archived

  • All

Debt Group Fields (Account Path + other fields)

Will not be shown in the Account Search screen unless they have been added under Debt Groups

Search Tip

To search for a single date, enter the same date in both fields. If the desired results are not returned, expand the date range to one date before and one date after the date for desired results

Demographic Options Section

The Demographic Options section contains the fields that directly correlate to demographic data.

Field Name

Description

First

The First name of any account demographic (primary, comaker, spouse, misc., patient, business, etc.)

Last

The Last name of any account demographic

Company Name

The Company name for any account demographic

SSN

The Social Security Number of any account demographic

SSN Last Four

The last four numbers in the Social Security Number

Phone Number

The Phone Number of any account demographic

Active Phone Numbers Only

When enabled, it includes accounts with active phone numbers

Address

The Address of any account demographic

City

The City of any account demographic

State

The State Of any account demographic

Zip

The Zip Code of any account demographic

Email address

The Email address of any account demographic

Driver License

The Drivers License of any account demographic

Dob

The Date of birth of any account demographic

Demographic Search Tip

The * or % symbols can be used as wild cards.

Example: if you know the address is Westmoreland Street, but do not know if it is NE or SE etc.... you can enter %Westmoreland% in the address field before clicking Search.

It is recommended to begin a search with defined criteria (using more information/multiple fields) to return fewer results.

Forwarding Options Section

The Forwarding Options section contains the fields that directly correlate to accounts that have been forwarded to a third party or other agency to be worked on your agency's behalf.

Description

Forward Batch

Batch for forwarding accounts

Vendor

The vendor responsible for handling forwarded accounts

Vendor Type

Type of vendor (e.g., collection agency, legal firm)

Placement Type

Type of placement (e.g., first placement, re-placement)

Placement Date

Date when the account was placed for forwarding

Placement Balance

Balance at the time of placement for forwarding

Commission Rate

Rate of commission for the forwarded account

Active Status

Indicates if the forwarding option is currently active
