Account Search is a tool within ACE that allows you to quickly locate and manage accounts.

There are two options to access account search:

Option 1: Go to Accounts → Search

Option 2: Click on the magnifying glass icon near the account search field

Account Search Fields

Use the search fields in the Account Options, Demographic Options, and Forwarding Options sections to refine your search and locate specific accounts.

Account Options Section

The Account Options section contains fields that directly relate to an account.

Field

Description

Agency #

The agency account number or ACE DebtID.

Client Account #

Account number provided by the client.

Reference #

Unique key for agencies converting accounts.

Bundle

Unique ACE number assigned to a bundle member.

Group Identifier

Bundle number assigned from another collection system.

Client

Client code or name. Use the dropdown list or Smart Search to select a client.

Assigned Date

Date the account was assigned.

Status

Current account status.

Case Number

Assigned case number.

Bankruptcy Case Number

Assigned bankruptcy case number.

Principal Balance

Exact current principal balance.

Principal Assigned

Exact original principal balance.

Debt Flag

Indicates the account's debt status.

Archived

Select Not Archived, Archived, or All.

Debt Group Fields

Display only when configured under Debt Groups.

Search Tip

To search for a single date, enter the same date in both date fields. If the expected results are not returned, expand the search by one day before and one day after the desired date.

Demographic Options Section

The Demographic Options section contains fields that search demographic information associated with an account.

Field

Description

First

First name of any account demographic (primary, co-maker, spouse, patient, business, etc.).

Last

Last name of any account demographic.

Company Name

Company name associated with any account demographic.

SSN

Social Security Number of any account demographic.

SSN Last Four

Last four digits of the Social Security Number.

Phone Number

Phone number of any account demographic.

Active Phone Numbers Only

Limits results to active phone numbers only.

Address

Street address of any account demographic.

City

City of any account demographic.

State

State of any account demographic.

Zip

ZIP Code of any account demographic.

Email Address

Email address of any account demographic.

Driver License

Driver's license number of any account demographic.

DOB

Date of birth of any account demographic.

Include Original Demographics

When selected, ACE searches both current and original demographic values, allowing you to locate accounts using information that has been updated, such as a previous name or date of birth. This option is available only when Include Original Demographics in Account Search is enabled in Setup → System.

Demographic Search Tip

  • Use the * or % wildcard characters to search for partial values.

    Example: If you know the address contains Westmoreland Street, but not the complete address, search using %Westmoreland%.

  • Begin your search using the most specific criteria possible to reduce the number of results.

  • If Include Original Demographics is available, select it to search both current and original demographic information.

Forwarding Options Section

The Forwarding Options section contains fields used to search accounts that have been forwarded to another agency or third-party vendor.

Field

Description

Forward Batch

Batch assigned to the forwarded accounts.

Vendor

Vendor responsible for the forwarded accounts.

Vendor Type

Type of vendor (for example, collection agency or legal firm).

Placement Type

Type of forwarding placement.

Placement Date

Date the account was forwarded.

Placement Balance

Account balance at the time of forwarding.

Commission Rate

Commission rate assigned to the forwarded account.

Active Status

Indicates whether the forwarding placement is active.
