Configuring Reassigned Number Database (RND) Monitoring

Prev Next

Reassigned Number Database (RND) monitoring helps identify phone numbers that may have been reassigned to a new consumer.

RND monitoring uses ACE Enrichment export and import jobs to submit eligible phone numbers for review and process the returned results. Customers can control which accounts and phone numbers are monitored and how frequently eligible numbers are rechecked.

Please Note

RND Enrichment is a package add-on. Contact sales@interprose.com for more information.

Before You Begin

Before configuring RND monitoring:

  • The RND Enrichment package add-on must be enabled.

  • Determine which accounts should be included in RND monitoring.

  • Determine which demographic types and phone statuses should be monitored.

  • Determine how frequently eligible phone numbers should be rechecked.

  • Identify the File Manager folders that will be used for RND export and import files.

Configure the RND Enrichment Vendor

Create an RND Enrichment Vendor to define the import and export locations used for RND processing.

  • Go to Setup → Enrichment Vendors.

  • Create a new Enrichment Vendor.

  • Enter a Label.

  • Enter an Identifier.

  • Select RND as the provider.

  • Select the Export Folder used for RND export files.

  • Select the Import Folder used for returned RND result files.

  • Enable Active.

  • Save the vendor.

Configure the RND Export Job

Create an export job to determine which eligible phone numbers are submitted for RND monitoring.

  1. Go to Utilities → Jobs.

  2. Create a new job.

  3. Enter a name for the job.

  4. Add an Enrichment: Export task.

  5. Select the RND Enrichment Vendor.

  6. Click Apply

  7. Configure the RND export settings.

  8. Configure the job schedule as needed.

  9. Click Apply.

Please Note

If the RND export job is configured with an On Demand schedule, ACE will only evaluate accounts and phone numbers for RND enrichment interval eligibility when the job is executed.

How RND Monitoring Works

After the RND Enrichment Vendor and export and import jobs are configured, ACE uses the export settings and phone information to determine which phone numbers are eligible for RND monitoring.

Which Phone Numbers Are Eligible?

The RND export job evaluates phone numbers using the settings configured on the Enrichment: Export task.

To be eligible for export, a phone number must:

  • Be active.

  • Have a Source of Client or Debtor.

  • Match the configured Logic ID.

  • Match one of the selected Demographic Types.

  • Match one of the selected Phone Statuses.

  • Be eligible based on the configured Enrichment Interval.

Phone numbers with a Source of Enrichment are not submitted for RND monitoring.

When a phone number is successfully exported, ACE records the Last Reassigned Check date. The phone number is not eligible for another RND export until the configured Enrichment Interval has elapsed.

How Is the RND Query Date Determined?

Each phone number submitted to RND includes a query date. RND uses this date to determine whether the phone number has been reassigned since that point in time.

The date ACE uses depends on the phone number's Source.

Phone Source

Query Date

Client

Begins with the account Itemization Date. If the Itemization Date is blank, ACE uses the Assigned Date. A later Last RPC Date or Verified Date is used when available.

Debtor

Begins with the phone record's Create Date. A later Last RPC Date or Verified Date is used when available.

A later Last RPC Date or Verified Date indicates that the phone number was associated with the consumer at that later point, allowing the RND query to begin from the more recent date.

Please Note

Last Reassigned Check determines when a phone number is eligible to be submitted again. It does not determine or replace the query date sent to RND.

When Is a Phone Number Checked Again?

The Enrichment Interval controls how frequently an eligible phone number can be submitted for RND monitoring.

When a phone number is successfully exported, ACE records the Last Reassigned Check date. The phone number is not eligible for another RND export until the configured Enrichment Interval has elapsed.

Please Note

The Last Reassigned Check determines when a phone number can be submitted again. It does not determine or replace the query date sent to RND.

How Are RND Results Applied?

When the Enrichment: Import job processes a matching RND result, ACE updates the phone number based on the returned result.

RND Result

ACE Behavior

Yes

Changes the matching phone number's status to Reassigned.

No

Does not change the phone number's status.

No Data

Does not change the phone number's status.

The Last Reassigned Check date is set when a phone number is successfully exported. Importing the RND result does not change this date.
