    Sending an ELS letter

    In order to send an ELS letter the consumer will need to have an active, opted in email address on their account. When creating a new email the Send ELS Opt in Request check box comes up auto checked so you can send the ELS Opt in email upon creation.

    Once the consumer has opted in you will see the ELS status show OPTED_IN. They are now set up and ready to begin receiving ELS letters.

    You can auto schedule an ELS using an action path or you can schedule the ELS letter manually at the account level as shown below. To send the ELS letter be sure to choose the letter profile with the green check mark next to it.

    You can choose to schedule the ELS letter for a further out date or you can send the ELS letter the same day. When you do send the ELS letter the same day, after you hit send you will see the green Letter emailed notification at the top of the screen.

    A note will also appear in the note section of the account to show that the ELS letter had been sent.
