What is the purpose of the Auto-Login Link ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}?

The Auto-Login Link ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl} provides direct access to consumers' accounts.

With the Auto-Login Link, consumers can effortlessly:

  • Make payments

  • Access payment history

  • View account details

  • Submit disputes and documents

Note

Consumers are required to register an account if they wish to create a payment plan.

Does the Auto-Login Link Expire?

The login Link Expiration is set in the VA 2.0 Profiles section.  When a consumer clicks on an expired auto-login link, they will be redirected to the login page.

How can you add an Auto-Login Link to an existing email profile?

To add an Auto-Login Link to an existing email profile, follow these steps:

  1. Open existing Email Profile

  2. Locate Template Editor 

  3. Click on ACE Fields and choose Account Fields

  4. Select/Search for the desired field: ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl} (hint- type "Virtual Agent")

  5. Click to insert, adding the auto-login link

What steps are involved in creating a new email profile?

To create an email profile, follow these steps:

  1. Setup → Email → Profiles → New

  2. Select the category

  3. Add the identifier

  4. Enter the subject

  5. Click Save

  6. Open the new profile

  7. Proceed to the Template Editor

  9. Craft your content 

  10. Click Apply

VA 2.0 Settlement Page

There are two options available to direct consumers to the Settlement page:

For Email Communications:

  • Use ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}?vaRef=SETTLEMENT.

  • This parameter directs consumers to the Settlement page within VA 2.0 and is commonly used in email templates.

For Text Message Communications:

  • Use ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}?vaRef=STM.

  • This parameter also directs consumers to the Settlement page and is designed for optimal delivery in text messages.

When configuring templates, ensure you select the appropriate parameter based on the communication method to maintain smooth delivery and compatibility with communication standards.

How Do I Create the Auto-Login Link to Other VA 2.0 Pages?

  1. Follow the previous instructions for inserting the URL ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}

  2. Click the link to modify

  3. In the Text Box, copy the auto-generated URL from the "Text to display field", to the "URL field"

  4. Append the specific parameter

  5. Click Save

  1. Go to Setup → Company Profile.

  2. Locate the Company Section.

  3. Enter your customized text in the following fields:

  • URL

  • Base Hostname

Before testing your email template, open an account that contains the fields you plan to include in the template. This ensures that the template works correctly and all components, including the Auto-Login Link, function as intended.

Tracking The Source of Auto-Login Link in Text and Email

When setting up a payment plan in VA 2.0 using the virtual auto-login link (${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}), the system will now track the source (email or text) and the associated ID.

If a payment plan is created after logging in via this link, ACE will display the correct source (TEXT for texts, EMAIL for emails) along with the relevant source ID (the text message log ID or the email queue ID).
