This document explains how to export and import ETL Import Profile configurations in ACE to reproduce consistent ETL behavior. ETL profiles support reusable field mapping and custom columns aligned with the ACE ETL process.
ETL Profiles
In ACE, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) profiles store the processes enabling efficient and repeatable data imports from external sources such as CSV, TSV, PSV, and Excel files.
By exporting and importing ETL profiles, organizations can ensure consistent data processing when working with files that share the same format or when migrating configurations between environments.
Exporting an ETL Import Profile
Exporting an ETL profile allows you to save the profile configuration for reuse or migration.
Steps to Export
Navigate to Accounts → ETL Import → Profiles.
Select the ETL Import Profile you want to export.
Locate and select the Export option.
Save the exported profile file to your local system.
The exported file contains the ETL profile configuration, including field mapping and custom columns, and can be imported to recreate an identical profile.

Importing an ETL Import Profile
Imported ETL profiles can be used to quickly create a new ETL profile that follows the same file structure and layout requirements.
Steps to Import
Navigate to Accounts → ETL Import → Profiles.
Select New to create a new ETL Import Profile.
Locate the Import Config Section.
Choose File and select the previously exported ETL profile file.
Click Import.
The new ETL profile should be renamed and saved before changing and testing the configuration.
Review and update the ETL profile as appropriate for the file that will be imported.
Save the ETL Import Profile.
After saving, the imported profile can be used for manual imports or scheduled ETL jobs, ensuring consistent data transformation and loading.

Validation and Testing
After importing an ETL profile, it is important to:
Test the profile with a sample file to confirm data loads as expected.
Verify required fields based on the ACE Import Layout documentation related to the Load Method.
Confirm configuration options are configured and behaving as expected.
