    Regulation F

Check out the "Take a Closer Look" section where we outline the eighth phase of new features and tools in ACE being rolled out with this release to help you manage Regulation F requirements.

    Cool New Upgrades

    ACE Performance Enhancements

System speed and performance have been reviewed throughout the ACE application and the following changes have been implemented which are expected to improve the loading of data and general system performance.

    • Unused database indexes have been removed
    • Delta temp messages, previously purged 12 months old are now purged when 6 months old
    • Unused audit logging creating unused audit logs has been removed
    • Dialer file creation speed has been improved
    • The creation and searching of debt notes has been improved which is expected to improve, for example, using the time on account report

Attention: Field Layouts for SQL Designer, Letters and ETL Loaders have moved!

When you need to download a fresh copy of one of them, please go to Help -> Layout -> ETL Fields, Letter Data Source or SQL Views.

    ETL Loader - Itemization Transactions

Defaults are now available to populate ETL loading of itemization transactions. This will be particularly helpful when the file with itemization transactions is missing data that is known such as the client or transaction type.

    Disk Space Notification

When disk space runs out 500gb will be automatically added to avoid process interruptions.

    Quick Opt In Update

A quick opt in method for multiple channels of communication was introduced with the 12/19/2021 release. This feature has been refined and will now display phone numbers with a status of NEW, ACTIVE, EXHAUSTED, INACTIVE and VERIFIED or phone numbers with a status of DO NOT CALL if the phone number is already opted in for text messages.

It will be important to train agents to understand that an opted out phone number might be displayed in this dialog box following an inbound call offering the agent the opportunity to find out if the consumer wants the number opted in again. At the same time, a inactive phone number, for example won't be displayed in the account summary section while it is opted out for calls and texts.

Logic Blocks - New Primary Demographic Fields

A large number of Account Demographic Address fields, Account Demographic Phone fields and Account Demographic Email fields are now available to be used as conditional criteria in ACE Logic Blocks.

    Feature Reminder: Short urls

By including url links in texts and emails, consumers are able to log directly into the virtual agent to make payments. This is one way to improve efficiency as the industry continues to expand use of digital communication channels.

    Take a Closer Look

    Bundle Group SQL Designer Tables

Bundle Groups defined by "Group By Fields" and "Logic" were introduced in November, 2021. There are now two tables available to identify stored bundle groups associated with accounts.

Please note: accounts must have been saved in association with an existing bundle group configuration in place in order to be represented in these tables.

    • bundle_group - includes one row for each instance of a bundle group per bundle group settings with fields as follows
      • bundle_group_id (represents the instance of the bundle group with one or more accounts in it)
      • customer_id
      • bundle_group_config_id (represents the bundle group settings resulting in one or more instances of a bundle group)
      • bundle_id
      • debt_ids (comma delimited debts represented in the instance of the bundle group)
      • group_key (why/how the accounts are bundle grouped together)
      • create_date
      • created_by
      • last_update
      • last_updated_by
    • bundle_group_debt - includes one row for each debt represented in the instance of the bundle group with fields as follows
      • bundle_group_config_id
      • debt_id
      • group_key
      • all_debt_ids (comma delimited debts represented in the instance of the bundle group)

    New Itemization Detail Feature

New tools for itemization associated with account validation information were introduced beginning in October of 2021. There is a now an option available to "Show Detail" associated with the calculation of the three values stored for inclusion in validation notices. These details should be helpful when evaluating mismatched balances between itemization and the account.

Please note: The behavior of itemization transactions and transactions associated with the account are directly impacted by the settings under Setup -> Compliance -> Itemization Mapping. For more information see the 12/05/2021 Release Notes.

    Details are visually distinguished for:

    1. Transactions entered as Itemization Transactions which should be associated with the period of time after the itemization date but prior to the assignment of the account (darker highlighting)
    2. Transactions entered to the account which should be associated with the period of time after the assignment of the account (lighter highlighting)
