    ACE Release Notes - 08/14/2022

    Below are the updates and fixes we will be pushing out to all of our customers. 

     

    Every month we are adding new features that improve the overall speed and efficiency of the ACE application. If you or your staff notice improvement in certain areas we'd love to hear confirmation that our efforts are moving in the right direction!

     

    Attention: We are expecting the downtime for deploying this update to take up to 60 minutes to complete. Please consider this when deploying.

    Cool New Upgrades 

    Active Letter Series

    When ACE prevents a second letter series from being scheduled for an account a notice will now be seen indicating the consumer already has an active letter series. 

    Opt in for Email or Text from Payment

    When entering secure payments, there are now options to opt in a phone number or email address associated with the card information.
     
    Please note: There is a new payment plan authorization process which also includes opt in through email or text. See more about it in the "Take a Closer Look" section below.

    Enrichment Data

    These three tables with enrichment meta data are now available for use in the SQL Designer.
    1. enrichment_meta_data_address
    2. enrichment_meta_data_phone
    3. enrichment_meta_data_email

    Inventory Designer

    There is now an option to clone inventory designer reports.

    Email and Text Notes

    The time now shows for Email and Text notes as it does for Phone notes.

    Reporting Debt Stats

    To improve performance, some statistics related to debts have been separated to a different table. They will still be visible when reporting from the debt table/view, but they are also now visible separately in the "debt_stats" table.

    The fields that can be included in the debt_stats table from SQL Designer are as follows.

    Letter Series

    When a letter series has been stopped before the final letter has been sent, it can now be restarted at a later date.

     

    After selecting "Restart Letter Series", the series can be selected and an option for a "Delay Before Restart" will be available.

     

    Once the letter series is restarted, it will behave in the same manner as an original letter series. The pending letters in it can be viewed from the left sidebar and notes will identify any scheduled or sent letters.

     

    Virtual Agent Payment Plan Authorization

    We're always looking for ways to improve the ACE experience and reduce risk for our customers. Wouldn't it be nice if consumers could authorize their payment plan and enter their own payment credentials in the Virtual Agent?

     

    Now a consumer can be redirected by the agent (via email or text) to the Virtual Agent to do just that!

     
    Prerequisites:
    1. Your ACE application must be configured with a text vendor and/or an email host
    2. The Virtual Agent must have a unique start node for this authorization process with a Reference Token which is linked to a Payment Plan node
    3. One or more Authorization Request email profiles or text message profiles must be set up using this variable which takes the Reference Token from the Virtual Agent start node
      • ${debt.virtualAgentLoginUrl}?vaRef=AUTHPLAN&authPlanID=${paymentPlan.paymentPlanID}
      • where "AUTHPLAN" = the Reference Token from the Virtual Agent
    4. One or more secure payment destinations must include a "Authorization Requests" connection to one of the profiles identified in #3 above

    Process steps:

    The steps to use this feature are identified below with screenshots. The steps are the same for email or text, so only the email method is described in the steps below.

    1. Set up a payment plan

    2. Choose a secure Plan Type (Payment Destination)

    3. Create the Payment Schedule - there is no need to enter payment credentials, but there will need to be an email address (or phone number for text method) associated with the account's primary demographic or in the payment plan's "Card Information"

    4. Click the Auth Request option (for email or text)

    4a. The payment plan will now be a "Pending Plan" on the account page

    5. The consumer will receive an email with a link based on the profile set up with the payment destination (see #4 in the list of prerequisites above the process steps)

    6. The consumer be automatically logged into the Virtual Agent and will be presented with the payment plan schedule (you may choose to include a node between the Authorization "Start" node and the "Payment Plan" node when setting this up in the Virtual Agent).

    7. After clicking "Next" from the Virtual Agent Schedule page, the consumer will be presented with the Payment Information page where they can fill in payment details and credentials.

    8. After entering credentials and clicking "Next" from the Virtual Agent Payment Information page, the consumer will be presented with the Authorization page where they may print a copy of the payment schedule before clicking "Authorize".

    9. After authorizing the plan, the consumer is presented with confirmation that the plan was scheduled and an opportunity to print the confirmation.

    9a. The authorized payment plan will now be an "Active Payment Plan" on the account page.

     

    Amazon S3 Storage

    If you have Amazon S3 storage outside of InterProse, there is now a job task that can be used to transfer documents from ACE to your S3 storage.
     
    You will need to know the name of your S3 Folder to set up this job task, along with the location of the files to be transferred from ACE and the File Mask you can use to pick them up. There is also an option to identify the S3 File Name.

    Making Things Right

    • Restored functionality so changes can be made to debt flag identifiers
    • Admin users can now see and use the Letter ETL Profile Historical Checkbox
    • The Last Service Date column in Logic Block results is now populated
    • Virtual Agent Preferences "minimum amount" default should now work whether or not evaluation nodes are set up correctly to manage minimums
    • Phone Log Call Date is now sortable when viewed from the phone demographic record or the phone log tools
    • Bundle Group Letter jobs won't fail now when one letter isn't eligible to be sent
    • Some fields not in context are now available in email bundle group details
    • Account document transfer tasks now explicitly identify if an invalid key is used 
    • ETL Client load method overlay no longer replaces data in unmapped client charge buckets
