Hi (oops, I don't have your first name in our database!),
Below are the updates and fixes we will be pushing out to all of our customers.
We can’t wait to deliver further improvements to you in the months ahead!
All the best,
Your friends at The InterProse Corporation
Cool New Upgrades
No Rest for the Weary Programmer!
PGP Encryption Functionality
ACE now has an integrated system for handling PGP encryption or Decryption within ACE. This includes local storage of public/private keys and key generation. A similar system for SSH keys is coming soon. Please see the 'Take a Closer Look' section for more details.
Status codes
New status code type - We have added the protected status type to ACE. When used, the protected status prevents anyone aside from designated users from modifying the status code of an account. In order to use this feature, small changes will have to be made to your workflow. See the 'Take a Closer Look' section for more details.
Workflow
New trigger - 'onCaseClientAuthorizationRequestSingle'. This trigger was designed to compliment 'onCaseClientAuthorizationRequest'. While onCaseClientAuthorizationRequest triggers once for every account in a legal case, onCaseClientAuthorizationRequestSingle will trigger only once off of the first account in the case. The new trigger can be used if you wish to send a single letter out on a legal case instead of one per account assigned to the case.
Reports
New Reports, Liquidation Reports - We have added two new liquidation reports, one under Reports>Clients and the other under Reports>Company. These reports have detailed information about debt liquidations over given periods of time. More information can be found in the 'Take a Closer Look' Section.
Due to customer requests, the Collector Summary Report has been made available again under reports>agents.
Invoicing
We have added a 'Totals' row to the bottom of the invoice verification, remittance, and delivery screens located under Clients>Invoices. The total row shows the total sum of remits contained within that screen.
Terminology
We have updated some terminology within ACE. Previously, 'placements' and 'assignments' were used interchangeably to define accounts a client places with a customer. From now on, 'assignments' will be the default term, and placements will be used only to refer to forwarding (i.e. placing the account with an outside agency).
Coming soon!
Virtual Agent
A significant update is being done to our virtual agent avatar and speech systems. The update boasts significant improvements to avatar animation quality and has a more lifelike text to speech process. You can expect these changes early next year and more details will be provided in the near future.

Status codes
ACE has a new type of status code option: the protected status. Protected status prevents any user from altering the status of an account unless they have a specific permission. Any status code can be made into a protected status code by checking the 'Is Protected' box within the status code profile.
If a user without the 'protected_status_update' permission attempts to change the status of an account, the status will not change and an error will be shown.
The protected_status_update field is new as of this release and will automatically be assigned to any roles that previously had the 'debt_status_update_locked' permission (generally admin users, unless custom roles are used). No statuses that currently exist in ACE will have the protected status option selected by default. It is up to our customers to decide if they wish to take advantage of this feature, and its addition will have no effect on workflow unless manually implemented.
It is worth noting that by default the user designated by the system to run jobs also has the needed permission, meaning that jobs designed to change an account status will change a protected status unless the job users permissions are modified.
Liquidation Report
ACE has a set of new liquidation reports. These can be found under Reports>Client and Reports>Company. Both reports outline the collection of each month's assigned debts over time, but the Company Liquidation report allows you to include uninvoiced transactions. The Client Liquidation report will only show income from buckets that are visible to clients. Below is a detailed description of the report; we will use the Company Liquidation report as an example.
When accessing the report, this is the first screen you will see after navigating to Reports>Company>Company Liquidation Report. Select a client or group of clients you wish to run the report for and an output format. The 'Net', 'Show Amounts', and 'Include Uninvoiced' check boxes are formatting options. With those boxes unchecked, the report will show Gross amounts, a percentage collected per month instead of an amount, and will only show amounts that have been invoiced to clients. Below is the report generated in HTML format.
In HTML format, you can use the drop down menus located at the top to toggle between the three checkbox options that were available on the report page. An explanation of the report columns is below.
Date: Specifies the month in which the debts were assigned to your application.
#: Displays the number of debts assigned within the month.
Assigned: The total value of the debts assigned that month.
Recovered: The total amount of that months debts that has been collected.
Month 0-12: These fields break down the total amount recovered of that months assigned debts into the individual months in which it was collected. Looking at the top row of the report above, you can see that by month 3 8.91% of the total 11.95% collected against November 2018's assigned debts was attained, showing the effectiveness of those first three months.
PGP Integration
ACE now has direct integration and storage of PGP public and private keys. The key store can be found under Setup>Key store. Click new to create a profile for each set of keys.
Inside the security key profile, you will have the ability to set an identifier, description, and type (SSH coming soon). You have the option to manually input a public and/or private key into the system. It is possible to have ACE generate a key pair for you as well by hitting the generate button. You can also specify a passphrase for the key pair.
Once a private key has been inputted/generated and you have saved the profile, the private key will no longer be visible in the key profile. You will instead be presented with a 'Clear Private Key' option.
You can use these PGP key profiles to encrypt/decrypt in a job. Simply go to the job you wish to have PGP functionality and add the PGP encrypt/decrypt tasks. You can select the desired key profile from the encryption key drop down menu.
