Search Function Improvements

Last month we added the ability to search for keywords within ACE lists (action paths, jobs, etc). We have expanded the search function to allow searching for partial matches. Users now have the ability to limit the search to specific columns as well. Please see the 'Take a Closer look' section for more details.

New Features

Statute of Limitations

ACE now has functionality to manage statute of limitations on debts. SOL rules can be configured on a state by state and debt type basis. It is possible to design workflow using the statute of limitations feature. As part of this change, a new menu allowing users to set state specific rules has been added to the setup menu. Please see the 'Take a Closer look' section for more details.

Notes

Important Notes on Cancelled Accounts

It is now possible to add important notes to cancelled accounts. To do so, input your desired note into the text field and check the 'important' box and click save.

Search Function improvements

Two new capabilities have been added to the list search function, Partial word search and column specific searching.

Partial word search:

Partial word search allows the user to find list items with only a small fragment of the word/phrase. Previously, the entire word needed to be specified when searching. For example, searching for jobs containing 'lo' returns these results:

Note: If you wish to search a for a specific date you need to use the YYYY-MM-DD format.

Column specific Searching

In addition to the partial word search feature, it is possible to limit your search to a specific column. Limiting your search to specific columns can be more efficient than a general search of all columns leading to faster load times. To search specific columns, use the 'Column name: keyword' format. For example, If I wanted to find jobs that have the word 'system' in the label column I would use 'Label:system'.

Results of searching without column specified:

Narrowed results from specifying the label column:

It is possible to specify multiple columns using the operators mentioned in last months release notes. For this example we will use 'AND' to search for two words in two different columns:

Search using 'Label:letter':

Search using ' Label:letter AND LastRunStatus:Error:

Statute of Limitations

ACE's new statute of limitations(SOL) feature allows you to set specific rules depending on state and type of debt the client is associated with. To use this feature, you will need to set up a profile for each state that you need SOL rules for under setup>state.

To create the state profile, click new located in the bottom right. In the new state form, specify the two character Identifier associated with the state you are creating these rules for; you will also need to specify a label.

If the 'Display Rules Popup' box is checked, any text in the 'Consumer Interaction Rules' field will be displayed to users accessing an account associated with this state.

Once the required information has been entered, you will be able to add statute of limitations rules. Click 'New' in the bottom right of the 'Statue of limitations' field to begin.

Specify the type of debt you wish to have associated with this SOL, the amount of years until SOL, whether a payment should refresh the SOL, and click save. Each state profile can have many SOL profiles for multiple types of debt.

The 'Type' in the SOL is connected to what type of debt is specified in the client profile. In the example below, If a client had a debt type of medical and the debtors address was in Texas, a SOL of 4 years would be applied. That SOL would also refresh every time a payment was made against the debt.

Workflow can be designed around the SOL by using the 'onStatuteOfLimitationsDateElapsed' trigger. This trigger can be used to perform actions based on the time until SOL expiration or if the date has elapsed.

Making Things Right

- Fixed an error that would sometimes occur when using the report runner job task to send a core report.

- Fixed an issue where a locked status code could be altered by using the 'apply to' button.

- Fixed A bug that prevented payment removal from a reactivated payment plan.
