    Client Access User itemization Entry

See details below related to how different client access user interface settings may impact account itemization entry.

There are optional settings under Setup - User Interface - Client Access that can be used to identify how a client with access to add an account can be expected to enter itemization data. See details below.

    1. From Setup -> User Interface -> Client Access, with these client access user interface settings:

The client will not see an itemization section when entering a new account. Itemization data may be need to be entered or loaded to accounts after they are entered/assigned by the client.

    2. From Setup -> User Interface -> Client Access, with these client access user interface settings:

    • (1) If the total current balance based on the values assigned = $1,000 (for this example) and
    • (2) If the entered balance as of itemization date is different than the assigned balance
      • It is assumed that itemization transaction(s) were applied to the account between the itemization date and the assignment date
    • (3) ACE will automatically apply transactions(s) equal to the difference
      • The Client Access User can manipulate the values if an automatically applied transaction is not in the correct field - ACE will continue to automatically adjust the remaining fields to ensure the Itemization Current Balance matches the Account Current Balance when the account is saved
    Note
The behavior described may be confusing to the client access user and should be explained when reviewing the process with them.

    3. From Setup -> User Interface -> Client Access, with these client access user interface settings:

    • (1) If the total current balance based on the values assigned = $1,000 (for this example) and
    • (2) If the entered balance as of itemization date is different than the assigned balance
    • (3) ACE will display the difference and
    • (4) The Client Access User will be able to enter itemization transactions (those that occurred between the itemization date and the assignment date) until the balances match
