Understanding Email Categories:
Before creating an email profile, familiarize yourself with different email categories:
Category | Definition |
|---|---|
VALIDATION_NOTICE See Validation Notice Dates for additional information. | Used for validation notices. See Validation Notice Dates for additional information. This category automatically updates the following account fields: • Validation Notice Sent Date • Validation Notice End Date • Validation Notice Returned Date Because ACE does not receive returned validation notice information from the email provider, the Validation Notice Returned Date must be updated manually or through an import file. |
ADDITIONAL_NOTICE | Used for notices that are not classified as a Validation Notice or Limited Content notice. |
LIMITED_CONTENT | Used for messages that may qualify as a Limited Content Message under applicable regulations. |
INFORMATION | Used for messages that are not related to collecting a debt, including system-generated communications such as password setup, password reset, payment receipts, confirmation messages, and other informational notifications. Messages in this category are excluded from the Maximum Contact Attempts limit. Messages are not restricted by the standard communication time window (8:00 AM–9:00 PM) configured in the Email Vendor From Settings section, allowing informational messages to be delivered whenever needed. |
FIRST_PARTY | Used for communications related to first-party debt collections. |
OTHER | Used for communications that do not fall into another defined category. Existing templates created before Email Category became a required field may also use this category. |
INVITATION | Used for invitation messages, such as requests for consumers to opt in to receive communications. |
CLIENT | Used for communications intended for clients rather than consumers. |
