How to Combine VA 2.0, Vanity URL, and Two-Way Email for Branding

This guide demonstrates how to configure VA 2.0, Vanity URLs, and Two-Way Email to enhance company branding. VA 2.0 allows for personalized virtual agent portals, Vanity URLs provide custom web addresses, and Two-Way Email enables communication using branded email domains.

Example Configuration Overview

Apex Recovery, which collects debts for utilities and medical segments, aims to enhance its branding by customizing portals and email domains for each segment and for a specific client, Sample1. Effective branding can improve consumer trust and engagement.

VA 2.0 Portals:

Each segment will have a dedicated VA 2.0 portal with a customized vanity URL:

• Client Sample1: pay.sample1.com

• Segment A: myutility.ar.com

• Segment B: mymedical.ar.com

Two-Way Email:

Apex Recovery has a primary email domain and will use different email domains for each segment and for Sample 1 client:

• Client Sample1: info@sample1.com

• Apex Recovery (Primary): info@apexrecovery.com

• Segment A: utilities@apexrecovery.com

• Segment B: medical@apexrecovery.com

Configure Sample 1 Client

To configure the Sample 1 client, we'll begin with setting up Two-Way Email, followed by configuring VA 2.0 and the Vanity URL.

Two-Way Email:

To add the email domain for Sample 1 client, follow these steps:

1. Go to Setup → Email → Vendors.

2. In the "From Setting" Section:

   1. Default Email From Name: Sample1

   2. Default Email From: Enter the email domain info@sample1.com

3. Refer to the From Settings Section in Configuring an Email Vendor for additional information.

VA 2.0 & Vanity URL

To add the Vanity URL “pay.sample1.com”, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup → Virtual Agent → Profiles, New.

2. In the "Client" Section:

   1. Clients: Select Sample1.

   2. Identifier: Sample1.

   3. Active: Check to enable this VA.

3. In the "General" Section:

   1. Custom Hostname: enter the Vanity URL pay.sample1.com

4. In the "Contact Information" Section:

   1. Email: Enter the email domain info@sample1.com

5. Refer to the General Section of How Do I Configure VA 2.0 Profiles for additional information.

Configure Debt Segments

To configure debt segments, we'll begin with setting up Two-Way Email, followed by configuring VA 2.0 and Vanity URLs for each segment.

Two-Way Email

To add the primary email domain name, follow these steps:

1. Go to Setup → Email → Vendors.

2. In the "From Setting" Section:

   1. Default Email From Name: Apex Recovery

   2. Default Email From: Enter the (primary) email domain info@apexrecovery.com

Email Template Profiles

To add specific email domains for Utility and Medical segments, use Email Profiles to override the default settings:

1. Go to Setup → Email → Vendors → Vendor Email Templates Section, New.

2. For Utility Debts:

   1. Default Email From Name: Apex Recovery

   2. Default Email From: Enter the email domain utilities@apexrecovery.com

      1. Note: The value entered here will override the default "From Name" and "From Email" in the Vendor Information Section.

1. Repeat these steps for Medical Debts:

   1. Default Email From Name: Apex Recovery

   2. Default Email From: Enter the email domain medical@apexrecovery.com

      1. Note: The value entered here will override the default "From Name" and "From Email" in the Vendor Information Section.

Caution

When creating multiple email vendors and email profiles, ensure you select the correct Email Vendor ID from the dropdown menu.

VA 2.0 Configuration for Utility Debts:

To add the vanity URL “myutility.ar.com”, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup → Virtual Agent → Profiles, New.

2. In the "Client" Section:

   1. Clients: Utility Debts.

   2. Identifier: Utilities.

   3. Active: Check to enable this VA.

3. In the "General" Section:

   1. Custom Hostname: Enter the Vanity URL myutility.ar.com

4. In the "Contact Information" Section:

   1. Email: Enter the utility email domain:utilities@apexrecovery.com

VA 2.0 Configuration For Medical Debts

1. Navigate to Setup → Virtual Agent → Profiles, New.

2. In the "Client" Section:

   1. Clients: Medical Debts.

   2. Identifier: Medical.

   3. Active: Check to enable this VA.

3. In the "General" Section:

   1. Custom Hostname: Enter the Vanity URL mymedical.ar.com

4. In the "Contact Information" Section:

   1. Email: Enter the medical email domain medical@apexrecovery.com
