Reconfigure default status codes
Status codes can be changed at the account level if:
- The status code is set as "selectable" under Setup - Accounts - Status Codes
- The user has a "Permission Role" that includes one or both of these "Permissions":
- Debt_Status_Update
- Debt_Status_View
Restrict collectors ability to change status codes
To prevent an agent from changing status codes at the account level, remove the above two permission roles from their profile. Users that need to modify selectable status codes will need the above permission roles.
Interprose & Permission Roles
Please reach out to Interprose if permissions are being removed (or added) to permission roles. Changing defaults can have unexpected consequences such as the inability to manually add a permission back to the permission role.
Interprose can help guide the customers in the right direction by either making these types of changes or advising the customer.

Status codes & action paths
Customers with available "Action Paths" can also enable collectors to change non-selectable status codes by using action codes. In that event, they would:
- Set the status code to be non-selectable
- Create an action path to set the status
- Create an action code to run the action path
- It is important to understand that even though action codes have a "set status code" action, that will not work for non-selectable status codes and therefore this will only work by triggering an action path from the action code.
- Smaller customers will typically not have extra action paths available to restrict status code changes in this manner.
