DNS Provider Requirements:
Some providers (e.g., GoDaddy) require a prefix like "www" or "va". For example, if you want vanitymydomain.com, you may need to use www.vanitymydomain.com or va.vanitymydomain.com.
Ensure your DNS provider supports URL path and parameter redirection.
Longer URLs may increase text messaging costs.
If unsure, consult your DNS provider's support or contact their customer service.

Step 1: Choose and Inform InterProse of Your Vanity URL
Select Your Vanity URL: Choose a custom subdomain (e.g., vanitymydomain.com).
Consider Provider Requirements: Adjust with prefixes if needed (e.g., www.vanitymydomain.com).
Inform InterProse: Provide the exact vanity URL to Sales@interprose.com.
Step 2: Add CNAME Records to Your DNS Settings
InterProse will provide two CNAME records:
For SSL Certificate Validation
For Vanity URL Redirection (points to our load balancer)
How to Add CNAME Records:
Log In to Your DNS Provider: Access your DNS management console.
Navigate to DNS Settings.
Add CNAME Records:
Type: CNAME
Hostname:
For SSL validation: Provided by InterProse (e.g., _abc12345def67890.vanitymydomain.com)
For redirection: Your vanity URL (e.g., vanitymydomain.com or www.vanitymydomain.com)
Value:
For SSL validation: Provided by InterProse (e.g., _xyz98765uvw43210.acm-validations.aws.)
For redirection: VA-PROD-ALB-1770160941.us-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com
Save Changes.
Step 3: Notify InterProse After Adding CNAME Records
Contact Us: Let your InterProse representative know you've added the CNAME records.
Step 4: InterProse Issues and Validates the SSL Certificate
Our Responsibility: We'll issue and validate the SSL certificate and register your domain with our firewall. We will notify you when this step is complete.
Step 5: Test Your Vanity URL in a Browser
Enter URL: Type your vanity URL into a browser.
Verify: It should redirect correctly without errors.
Step 6: Update Your Virtual Agent (VA) Settings
Go to Setup → Virtual Agent → Profiles, click New.
General Section:
Custom Hostname: Enter your vanity URL (e.g., vanitymydomain.com).
Save: Apply the changes.
Step 7: Send a Test Email or Text Message
Create a Test Account: Use a new account for testing.
Send Autologin Link:
Verify: Ensure the link functions as expected.
Step 8: Maintain Your CNAME Records
Do Not Modify: Keep the CNAME records unchanged.
SSL Renewal: InterProse will handle annual SSL certificate renewals.
