Client Access Configuration

Overview

Client Access Configuration determines which features, information, and actions are available to Client Access users.

Each Client Access User Interface template contains a Client Access Configuration section where administrators can enable features and configure what users can access throughout Client Access.

  1. Go to Setup → User Interface → Client Access.

  2. Select a Client Access User Interface template, configure the desired settings, and click Apply to save changes.

Please Note

Client Access Configuration controls feature availability. To configure which fields are visible or required throughout Client Access, see Configuring the Client Access User Interface (UI).

User Interface Template

Select the Client Access User Interface template to configure.

Account Creation

The Account Creation section controls whether Client Access users can create new accounts and the information available during account creation.

Setting

Description

Enable Add Account

Allows clients to create new accounts.

Enable Itemization

Allows clients to add itemization information when creating accounts.

Enable Itemization Transactions

Allows clients to enter individual itemization transactions.

Enable Cancel Account

Allows clients to cancel accounts.

Enable Disputes

Allows clients to create, view, and manage disputes.

Fields

Select the account fields clients can view or enter.

Itemization Transaction Types

Select the itemization transaction types clients can enter.

The Search section controls whether Client Access users can search for accounts and which search criteria are available.

Allows clients to search for accounts.

Fields

Select the search fields available to clients.

Available search fields may include Account Number, CAN, Group Identifier, Client Code, Assigned Date, Status Code, Case Number, Bankruptcy Case Number, Misc 015, Principal Balance, Principal Assigned, Debt Group, Debt Flag, Name, SSN, Phone, Address, Email, Driver's License, Date of Birth, Employer, Forwarding, and Check.

Please Note

If Enable Account Search is enabled but no search fields are selected, users can access the Search page but no search options will be available.

Forms

The Forms section controls which forms are available to Client Access users.

Notes

The Notes section controls access to account notes.

Allows clients to view notes.

Types

Select the note types available to clients.

Fields

Select the note fields available to clients.

Demographics

The Demographics section controls demographic information available to Client Access users.

Addresses

Transactions

The Transactions section controls which transaction information Client Access users can view and which transactions they can submit.

Show Bundled Transactions

Allows clients to view bundled transactions.

Show Transaction Types

Select the transaction types available to clients.

Additional Transaction Fields

Select additional transaction fields available to clients.

Transaction Approval Required

Requires client-submitted transactions to be approved before posting.

Enable Adjustment Posting

Allows clients to post adjustment transactions.

Enable NSF Posting

Allows clients to post NSF transactions.

Enable Direct Payments

Allows clients to post direct payments.

Enable Overpayments

Allows clients to submit overpayments.

Payment Destination

Select the payment destination used for client-submitted payments.

Account Documents

Show Account Documents

Allows clients to view, upload, and delete account documents.

Reports

The Reports section controls report access for Client Access users.

Setting

Allow Running Reports

Allows Client Access Users to run reports they have permission to access. SQL Reports and Inventory Reports are available to the Client Access User when the report's Role matches one of the Permission Roles assigned to the Client Access User.

Specific Reports

Select the Core Reports you want Client Access Users to be allowed to access.

Copies the current Client Access configuration to another template.

File Manager Settings

The File Manager Settings section controls access to Client File Manager and File Drop Box.

Field

Description

Allow access to Client folders in File Manager

Allows clients to access Client File Manager and their assigned Client folder.

Allow access to File Drop Box

Allows clients to upload files using File Drop Box.

Please Note

Client Access users automatically open in their assigned Client folder. The assigned folder remains visible in the folder list, allowing users to quickly return to it while navigating Client File Manager.
