    ACE Release Notes - 06/14/2020

Hi (oops, I don't have your first name in our database!),

Below are the updates and fixes we will be pushing out to all of our customers.

We can’t wait to deliver further improvements to you in the months ahead!

    All the best,

Your friends at The InterProse Corporation

    Cool New Upgrades

No Rest for the Weary Programmer!

    Authentication

    SSO (single sign on) support:

ACE now supports SSO integration for enterprise level customers. SSO allows users to log into ACE using external authentication methods via OATH, it can connect to services like google or use in house systems to verify a users identity.

Please contact your account representative to enable the SSO feature.

    Payment

    Spreaders:

We have altered the behavior of payment spreaders when making a payment against a bundle that has accounts belonging to different clients. When attempting a payment that does not have a transaction level spreader, the system will use the client spreader associated with the account the payment was initiated on. If the account that the payment was initiated on was de-selected, it will instead use the client level spreader associated with the first selected account.

    Security

Limited Number of Active User sessions:

We have limited the maximum number of open sessions a single user can have at one time to three. If a user attempts to log into a fourth session they will be prevented from doing so with an error message.

    Current User Sessions Report:

Along with the session number limit, we have added a current user report located under Reports>Users>Current User Sessions. This report will give you a quick overview of users currently logged into your application, showing log in time, URL and duration of activity.

    Phones

    TCN Click to dial improvement:

Click to dial now sends the associated account number to TCN along with the phone number. The account number can be used to automatically import call results back into ACE. Please contact TCN if you wish to set up this feature.

    File Manager

    Performance:

We have greatly improved loading times within the file manager for customers with a large amount of clients. The system now breaks the view for client folders into sections, which reduces the demand on the system.

    New features

    Compliance Firewall:

In our first phase of implementing our compliance firewall feature, we have automated blocking of letters based on specified criteria. If an account meets the block criteria, the system will prevent the indicated letters/letter groups from being sent on an account even if another process or user attempts to schedule them.

In the future we will be adding even more compliance automation features in order to make keeping your business compliant as easy as possible. Please see the 'Take a Closer Look' section for more details specifically about the letter firewall feature.

    Letters

PDF Letter Tool Now Supports Standalone Forms:

The PDF letter tool can now pull information from standalone forms. Previously it could only pull information from custom forms that were included directly on the account.

    Case Dismissal Reasons:

ACE has made several options available when specifying a case dismissal reason. When a user attempts to dismiss a case, they will be shown the following list of options:

Workflow can be built to run based on the dismissal type, such as assigning the account to a specific worklist if a case is dismissed with prejudice.

    File Transfer

    SFTP Automatic Retry:

SFTP file transfer tasks now have the option to retry up to 10 times whenever a transfer fails. If enabled, the task will attempt to transfer the files up to the specified amount of times with an increasing amount of time between attempts after each failure.

    Speed posting

    Auto Select Bundle Members:

While speed posting transactions, it is now possible to have the system select all accounts bundled with the specified account number if they have an active status code. This option can be enabled within the speed posting page:

    Responsible Parties

    Dashboard/Report Functionality Improvements:

Dashboards and reports for our Responsible Party customers have had their functionality improved. The transaction report has been cleaned up visually in addition to the data changes.

    Letter Firewall

ACE now allows automated blocking of letters at the account level using criteria set in the new setup>workflow>firewall menu. If an account meets the block criteria, a letter will not be sent on the blocked account unless the block expiration criteria have been met. When in the firewall menu, select 'new' and specify a rule type of 'letter restriction' to access the configuration shown below:

The fields highlighted in red are the possible conditions to trigger a letter firewall on an account, blue is the possible methods of restriction ( a type of letter can be blocked, or a specific letter), and green is methods allowed for removing the letter block on the account.

    An example configuration:

In the above example, I have set the system to restrict letters of type debt, bundle, transaction, and payment schedule when an account is moved into the BNK or LEG status. When in these statuses it will be impossible to send a letter of the mentioned types, but legal letters will still be possible as that was not a chosen type. If you desired to move an account out of the restricted status with this configuration, you would move it into the ACT or DIS status or wait 90 days for the block to expire.

This tool has great potential for our users, and will add another layer of safety; for example, you could prevent letters from being sent to litigious debtors.

    Making Things Right

    - Fixed a bug that prevented the 'bankruptcyLastUpdate' field from updating via ETL

    - fixed a bug causing invoiced transaction information to populate to reports later than intended
